What is Taker fee?
In short
The cut a provider takes when your order is filled immediately from the order book.
A taker fee is charged when your order is matched straight away against an existing order on the exchange, so it removes the wait for a better price in exchange for a guarantee of execution. The opposite is a maker fee, paid when you add liquidity and the market comes to you. Among these names ActivTrades charges no taker fee at all, Ajaib charges 0.222% and Anycoin Direct charges 0.15%. Alpaca runs a band of 0.1% to 0.25% and Airtm a band of 2% to 4%. Frequent traders feel the difference more than occasional buyers.
