HodlCue compares crypto exchanges, wallets, earn products and cards so readers can judge what a provider will cost them and where their money actually sits. No provider pays to be listed. We earn a commission when you sign up through links on this site, and partners are listed first in every ranking, then by score. What you read comes from published terms, fee schedules and regulatory registers, not from promotional copy. Where a number is missing we say so rather than estimate it, and where a provider's figures are hard to compare we leave the question open instead of smoothing it over.

Cost is the first thing most people get wrong. A headline rate can be one of several numbers, and the difference between them compounds over a year of regular buying. Each listing separates trading fees from withdrawal charges and from the costs attached to earn products, because a low trading fee buys back nothing if moving money out is expensive. Where a provider lists a range rather than a single figure, we show the range and say what the endpoints mean.

The second question is custody. An account held by a regulated firm with an investor protection scheme is not the same as a self-custodied wallet with a seed phrase only you control, and the two carry different risks on different timescales. We name the regulator and the scheme only when a provider's own materials state them, and we keep custodial and self-custodial listings separate so a reader never has to work out which model they are looking at.

The third is how the account behaves day to day: what a card spend draws from, whether an earn balance is flexible or locked, and what happens to a withdrawal at the weekend. Those details sit in the listing next to the numbers, so you can read a provider's full cost and setup in one place before choosing.
