What is Open source?
In short
Open source means the code behind a wallet or product is published, so anyone can read and check how it works.
Open source means the code behind a wallet or app is published, so anyone can read it, check it and reuse it. That transparency lets outsiders verify how keys and transactions are handled instead of taking a claim on trust. Argent, BitBox, BitBox02 and Bitcoin Jungle publish their code. Arculus does not, so its software cannot be inspected in the same way.
